INTRODUCTORY TRAINING – an introductory module, a one-day familiarization course designed for those who have not fired a pistol or those with limited shooting experience who want to learn the basic principles of safe and effective pistol firing in dangerous situations. Participation in these classes allows participants to practice the basic skills necessary for safe and effective pistol use in situations requiring its use. Each participant wishing to continue their adventure with situational handgun shooting can enhance their skills through subsequent training modules offered by GROM GROUP in the GST Handgun system, the first stage of which is BASIC level training.
BASIC, ADVANCED 1, ADVANCED 2 and ADVANCED 3 – the main module, four one-day basic training courses at various skill levels, allowing participants to learn situational pistol shooting from the ground up. Each basic training course conducted within this module, regardless of skill level, consists of three parts: theoretical, manual, and live ammunition shooting. The aim of the training cycle is to enable them to acquire the skills to safely use a handgun and to fire accurately in various shooting positions while stationary, on the move, and behind cover. Participants also have the opportunity to learn how to properly handle a pistol in emergency situations, such as a jam, the need to change a magazine, or when one hand is unavailable. Additionally, each basic training course includes submachine gun shooting sessions, aimed at acquiring basic skills in using this type of weapon. Between basic training sessions, participants have the opportunity to participate in WORKSHOPS, the main goal of which is to repeat and refine shooting skills acquired during the basic training they recently attended. WORKSHOPS They include manual skills training and live ammunition shooting. The duration of the WORKSHOPS is approximately two hours shorter than the basic training due to the exclusion of the theoretical portion. Starting at the ADVANCED 1 level, due to the nature of the shooting activities covered in the training, each participant is expected to practice the elements that were covered in the lower levels before proceeding to the training. This type of training can be completed independently or under the supervision of specialists. The WORKSHOPS are an excellent way to practice and improve manual skills and shooting under the supervision of experienced instructors. However, any additional training, including that completed independently, can only positively impact the level of skills already acquired and is the proper procedure before proceeding to higher-level training. Basic training at the ADVANCED 3 level concludes with a practical test to verify the level of acquired shooting skills. Participants who pass the test receive a certificate confirming their completion of the training. If the test is not passed, the training participant will receive a certificate confirming only participation in the training and if he/she wishes to participate in additional modules, he/she should repeat the training and take the test again.
Attention:
To participate in ADVANCED 1 level training, you must first complete BASIC level training. To participate in ADVANCED 2 level training, you must first complete ADVANCED 1 level training, and so on. The gap between training sessions should not exceed 3 months. If there is a gap of approximately 2-3 months, it is recommended to repeat the basic training at the level you most recently completed or attend a workshop at a level commensurate with the most recently completed basic training before applying for basic training at a higher level. If there is a gap of more than 3 months, it is required to repeat the basic training at the level you most recently completed or attend a workshop at a level commensurate with the most recently completed basic training before applying for basic training at a higher level.
IMPROVEMENT TRAINING – a one-day training session for those who have received a certificate confirming completion of the ADVANCED 3 level of training. During this session, participants have the opportunity, under the supervision of an instructor, to refine pistol shooting skills acquired during previous training courses that require further development. Each participant has approximately 10 thematic blocks at their disposal, from which they select one to practice specific shooting skills during the training session. The final scope of training is agreed upon with each participant immediately before the training begins, taking into account the needs expressed by all participants.
NIGHT TRAINING – an additional module, a one-day training course designed for those who have obtained a certificate confirming completion of the ADVANCED 3 training course and wish to acquire or develop pistol skills. During the training, participants have the opportunity to learn how to fire in low-visibility conditions and at night, using handheld or weapon-integrated (tactical) flashlights, as well as laser pointers.
