GROM GROUP was founded by former soldiers and operators of the GROM Special Unit. It has been operating since 2010 in the field of training and broadly defined security and defense. It employs specialists from GROM, the Army, the Police, and the Special Services. Many of them are authors of applicable legal solutions in the field of public security and order. Selected specialists hold the authorization of plenipotentiaries for the protection of classified information and the necessary security clearances issued by the State Security Service, authorizing access to classified information, constituting state secrets and marked "SECRET." Our instructors have repeatedly encountered various crisis situations in their professional practice, gaining extensive knowledge in the prevention and management of such situations, as well as in developing procedures for their occurrence. Among them are also operators, paramedics, and paramedics who have utilized their skills during operations both domestically and internationally. The company operates from its own facilities and leased facilities in Warsaw and the surrounding area (e.g., shooting ranges). GROM GROUP has its own Training Range Center in Czerwony Bór.

GROM Special Unit, i.e. Operational and Maneuver Reaction Group (Mobile) - Military Unit 2305, is an elite military special forces unit established, among other tasks, for counterterrorism operations. The unit's formation began in 1990, drawing on the best foreign experiences, particularly from the United States and Great Britain. Western units to which the GROM unit can be compared include the American Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta (also known as Delta Force), SEAL Team VI, the British 22nd Special Air Service, the Special Boat Service, and the Israeli Sayeret Mafkal. The unit was initially named GROM, and only later was its expansion established, the Operational-Maneuvering Reaction Group (Mobile). This name also refers to the daring action of Gromosław Czempiński, who, risking his own life, saved foreign hostages (US Central Intelligence Agency officers) imprisoned in Saddam Hussein's territory (Iraq) during Desert Storm. Thanks to this action, the United States decided to provide unexpectedly significant assistance in organizing the unit. The success of this operation also significantly influenced the speed and scale of the reduction of Poland's foreign debt, as $20 billion was at stake. "Polish citizens must be aware that the government has forces and resources that can be allocated to specific tasks in their defense, wherever they may be" – this idea, expressed by Interior Minister Zbigniew Siemiątkowski, was the guiding principle behind GROM's existence.
